The play is about the six wives of Henry the Eighth. They each go through different things with Henry; each of them has a different story and experiences. The whole show is mainly a competition between the six wives to determine who had the worst experience with Henry. Throughout the show, they find out that competing and comparing make things worse when they realize they can each have their own stories and experiences. At the end of the show, they all find out who they really are as people, and it brings them all together. They find out they are stronger as “six” rather than the six wives. They make their own stories, and they find that comparing their trauma ultimately separates them when, in the end, they just needed to be closer together and be there for each other.
