The wrestling season has finally come and the first match was on Wednesday November 19 against Sana Rosa Academy. The final score was 36:41 and unfortunately the Knights loss against the Rangers, and the Knights set out and take San Jacinto Valley Academy on December 10 and try to get their first win of the season.
I interviewed some of the wrestlers, asking them about there feelings and goals that they have going into the season. I started off by speaking with Connor Fitzgerald and here is what he had to say, “ The practice is definitely getting harder. I think coach has the best in mind for us, though but she knows that we and have to condition a lot more and we to, after the first meet, she saw that we have to definitely work on technique, especially the first years, just getting down the base knowledge for wrestling.” Connor is a good wrestler and puts in the work every practice.
Now lets head over and talk to Benyamyn Lincon, “The first match. I was definitely feeling nervous. I don’t think I was completely prepared, But we did pretty good. Considering it was our first match. Ben is an ultra competitor and always brings high energy into the room everyday.
Lastly, Carmine Lopez “I think it’s actually going pretty good. We have a lot of people who are very anxious to put themselves out there. They want to try the sport and this who like it have decided to stay and they;ve have been bringing a lot work.”. Overall, the team is very optimistic about the season and are ready to face anything that comes towards their way.
Ultimately, the wrestling season has started and everyone is very ambitious on there goals and season. The wrestlers work hard every practice to reach there ultimate goals in this season and win every match that comes their way.
