Being a student at Nuview Bridge has many perks. One of them being that you are allowed to advance in your academic studies. Nuview allows you and helps you get your CAL-GETC and even some associate degrees. Students outside of this school might struggle balancing just their high school classes, while our students take on the challenge of taking college classes alongside their high school classes. Even though many of our students take college classes they make time to also participate in their school sport(s).
Our student athletes have to balance their academics, which include their college classes, while also performing in their sport(s) in and outside of school. A student has said “I have no weekends free because I have to catch up on school work.” Being a student athlete has its disadvantages such as, having to come home late, falling behind on school work, and even having to give up time to spend with friends and family in order to catch up. Even though there are many disadvantages to being a student athlete many students are.
A student has commented, “I love being a student athlete, as long as I stay organized and on top of my work I balance my school life, sport life, and even my social life.” This comes to prove that although being an athlete can be stressful as long as you don’t procrastinate and stay on top of your assignments it can be pretty fun and stress free to be a student athlete.
