Firas Musharbash is the scout Quarterback and fullback of the Nuview Bridge Knights. He is going to tell us about his life a football player. He is very focused and discipline in what he does. I was asking a question about what is his thought process on hard and intense days and he said, “Um, you know, all the tough days I see is just opportunities obviously, there’s sometime the locker room, people not want to practice as hard that day, but I just, you know, try to power through it and motivate everybody around me”.
His focus and overall commitment to the team show us that we have a good leader for the future of this young knights team that is emerging next year. He’s a tough person and those hard days people quit, but he tells us about how people don’t really see the work that is put in every week to play each game. He’s very resilient. He also shows how he encourages the team through his hard skills working on the field. He also tells us what it’s like to lose
and how he learns from these games as the season goes on. “Just work hard and practice, you know, the next week you just have to rebound yourself, get back up with your guys and just ready to do it again. Obviously, aiming to win, but, you know, you can’t have your ticket in it too”. He also talks about in some weeks were you work really hard and still lose the game, he says “Its part of the game”. His resilience even after the tough losses, he still shows his consistence to his sport.
I ask Firas about his reaction to his first win against the Desert Chapel, which is also their Homecoming game. “Um, I was very happy and excited for my guys. We game planned a lot that week of, you know, how they would work on their offense, like, uh, we did a lot of scout team reps to see, like, in what formation they’d be in. We knew that they did a lot of formation changes before the snap, so we were constantly practicing, changing formations, and you know, just basically adapting to the play, you know, you to react to it, that’s what we were doing.“So defense, you was good there”. This win for the team helps their season a lot after back to back losses. This win gives their team a morale boost and confidence. The win against Desert Chapel has given them a bit more juice to finish out the rest of there season.
Ultimately, Firas has shared a lot about the football team and their journey throughout the season. He tells a lot about his practices and the emotions after the games and what they do to prepare for the games. The whole ride to try to win in the season and hopefully making into CIF this year, is what makes this season full of hard and happy moments.
