The baseball preseason is on its way, and I interviewed two baseball players. I ask about their thoughts on the upcoming season and what they are doing to prepare for the 2026 season.

I first interviewed Mike Nava who is a transfer from Perris High School, and he told me, “Just working a lot, working out a lot more and getting more time in the cages, more bullpen sessions, and that’s it. “ He mentioned bulking up so he can be strong and prepared for the season. Also, how his old team was a toxic place for him from his coaches and teammates, but now he’s here and at the Bridge were there is more support to help him become a better player.

I also interviewed David Bravo who is a sophomore and is about to enter his second year on the team. I ask his thoughts on the baseball season and what he is doing to prepare. Here is his thoughts, “ This year, I’m starting to just work out more, work on my power, strength, and try to work every day to get better. My goals this season is to get over 10 hits, try to hit 3 homers (home runs), and work hard to increase my speed”. David also told me how last year was just a time where he learned from his older peers and got experience. Overall, the baseball team is working hard, putting in the work in both the weight room and on the field to hopefully win back to back CIF.
